About Us

Our award-winning family-run farm, restaurant, deli and retail shop focuses on the freshest local & seasonal produce. This, together with personal service, a contemporary Scottish, Scandinavian and European influenced gift shop, a well-stocked deli and a nature trail that is teaming with wildlife, all with the backdrop of panoramic views of Loch Leven – really does make the Larder a unique visitor experience. We are easily accessible from  Perth, Dundee and Edinburgh, so you don’t need to go far to experience a little piece of heaven as the Larder is right on the Perthshire doorstep!

As a family run business, our team and colleagues are at the heart of what we do. We provide quality service, seasonal produce, freshly baked goods from our kitchen, a range of ‘own-label’ products and other stylish gifts. We are passionate about the farming techniques we use and incorporate as much local produce as possible into our menus, believing in the traceability, provenance and seasonality of our offer.

I cannot speak more highly of our fantastic team, who are equally committed to our values from the lads in the fields and the kitchen team, to the front of house – who all provide a first class service!

So what are you waiting for – come visit our unique loch-side offering for yourself…

Our story

Our family moved to Channel of Pittendriech Farm in 2002, the 3rd generation of the family to farm this land since newly-weds Arthur and Agnes Braid were given tenancy back in 1934.

As farmers, growing vegetables for supermarkets, we had become frustrated at the lack of locally grown produce available in our shops. Raising a young family, we also felt that there was a lack of family-friendly venues in the local area serving healthy, quality food. As our farm was situated in one of Scotland’s most picturesque locations, overlooking Loch Leven and surrounded by magnificent countryside of Kinross-shire, we realised that we were ideally situated to provide this, by selling the things we grow and also offering the chance to taste them straight from our kitchen in our café.

Loch Leven's Larder first opened in 2005 and after a decade, the field to fork concept remains central to everything we do. We are proud to have grown into a multi award-winning dining and retail destination, providing an experience that changes with the seasons and makes customers want to return again and again.
